National Key Trainer : Financial Literacy – CUFA


Cufa is an International Development Agency with a focus on promoting financial inclusion and increasing financial literacy and improving economic livelihoods. Cufa has been developing community access to affordable financial services in the Asia Pacific region for 50 years, working cooperatively at grass-roots through to government levels to create sustainable livelihoods, improve lives, and relieve poverty.

Cufa is seeking a National Key Trainer in Financial Literacy to work on a three-year training project to be implemented in Bangladesh. The project’s objective is to increase the capacity and empowerment of women and incentivize their involvement in the agriculture sector through farming best practices and financial literacy training.


  • Deliver training in financial literacy best practices to all-female cohorts of smallholder farmers
  • Deliver developed training curriculum and resources covering the following key topics:

    o Utilizing savings and credit;

    o Simple budgeting and calculating profit;

    o Understanding contracts; and

    o Banking electronically.

  • Conduct daily monitoring and evaluation questionnaires with trainees to collect project data.
  • National Key Trainers in Financial Literacy will answer to the Project Team Leader, International Financial Literacy Expert and Cufa’s International Programs Manager

National Key Trainer Selection Criteria

  • University degree in financial literacy or a related field. Alternative training qualifications combined with more than 3 years of relevant professional experience in financial literacy can be considered.
  • Prior experience with conducting training programs for in financial literacy – compulsory requirement.
  • Prior experience of working with women farmers, including delivering training programs to all-female trainee groups – highly desired.
  • Fluent Bengali and verbal and written communication skills in English – compulsory requirement.
  • Proven experience and familiarity with financial literacy topics, and agricultural economics is an advantage.
